Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using the ADUSTECH mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology.
Eligibility
To use this App, you must:
- Be a current student of ADUSTECH
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Have a valid university email address
- Comply with all university policies and regulations
- Provide accurate and truthful information
The University reserves the right to verify your student status at any time.
User Accounts
Account Creation
- You must provide accurate and complete registration information
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password
- One account per student - multiple accounts are not permitted
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Provide false information
- Are no longer a student at ADUSTECH
- Engage in prohibited conduct
- Fail to respond to verification requests
Prohibited Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Post Inappropriate Content: Offensive, discriminatory, or harmful material
- Harass Others: Bully, threaten, or intimidate other users
- Share False Information: Post misleading or fraudulent content
- Violate Privacy: Share others' personal information without consent
- Spam: Send unsolicited messages or advertisements
- Hack or Exploit: Attempt to breach security or reverse engineer the App
- Impersonate: Pretend to be another person or entity
- Infringe Rights: Violate intellectual property or other rights
- Use Bots: Employ automated systems to access the App
- Commercial Use: Use the App for unauthorized business purposes
Intellectual Property
University Content
The App and all content, features, and functionality are owned by ADUSTECH and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not:
- Reproduce, modify, or distribute App content without permission
- Use ADUSTECH name, logos, or branding without authorization
- Remove copyright or proprietary notices
Your Content
When you post content on the App, you:
- Retain ownership of your content
- Grant ADUSTECH a license to use, display, and distribute your content within the App
- Warrant that you have the rights to post the content
- Are responsible for your content's legality and appropriateness
Disclaimers
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.
- No Guarantee of Availability: The App may experience downtime or interruptions
- No Guarantee of Accuracy: Information may contain errors or be outdated
- Third-Party Content: We are not responsible for user-generated content
- External Links: We are not liable for third-party websites or services
Use the App at your own risk. Always verify critical information through official university channels.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ADUSTECH shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, profits, or opportunities
- Damages resulting from App use or inability to use
- User-generated content or third-party actions
- Unauthorized access to your account or data
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ADUSTECH, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Your content posted on the App
Modifications
We reserve the right to:
- Modify the App: Add, remove, or change features at any time
- Update Terms: Revise these Terms as needed
- Change Policies: Update our policies and procedures
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes through the App.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Kano State, Nigeria.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ADUSTECH regarding the App.
